Then once we got back to her house (it was an hour and a half drive to this river), we got dressed and headed out to have a traditional French dinner with Alice and her family! We went to a restaurant on the countryside, where we tried escargots (snails), frog legs, and several varieties of stinky cheeses! It was a night we won't forget! The snails and frog legs were topped with garlic and butter so that definitely made them eatable, although I couldn't get over the texture! I ordered a fish, and of course it came with all the bones, skin, and head. I was not expecting that but the taste was good! It was a great evening with her family, and now we can definitely say we got the full French dining experience!
